Exploring your faith brings forward questions about things that are not clearly spelled out in the Bible, and everyone who reads it arrives at them eventually.
But too often those questions, especially from people who are new to faith or outside it, are taken as signs of unbelief or judgement rather than as the open invitations to fellowship that they are. And so they stop being asked out loud.
We have also become used to answers being just a click away. So the questions go to websites, online forums and GenAI models instead, where there is no guarantee that the answers are rooted in the living Word of God.
To answer any question faithfully and without judgment.
Grounded in Scripture and a curated library. Nothing hallucinated, nothing stolen, and always referenced.
Every question is welcome, including the hard ones, and the ones that sound like objections.
We will present you with answers where we have them, verses to contemplate and research to explore.
We will always guide you toward fellowship with others, and the passionate pursuit of the Truth together.
Around every congregation there are people exploring faith quietly and privately, with no one to ask. We want to give ministries an insight into the questions their local area is carrying, so they can shape their own outreach programs with confidence, wherever there is sufficient data to support it.
An anonymous, aggregated picture of the questions being asked in its area, never an individual, never identifiable, never a specific person's conversation.
Not money. Simply helping make the resource known to the people it already serves.
The intention is that everything in the library is reviewed and approved by a Leadership Council made up of faith leaders, authors, and believers who have dedicated themselves to exploring the Word of God. That way, every answer stays rooted in Scripture, even where the faithful read a passage differently.
The final decision on what enters the library rests with us, because the responsibility for it rests with us too.
When using the chat, you will also notice that we are honest about our limits, and have invested a lot of time to ensure that the answers are presented in a way that is true to the author’s intent. So you will see the chat say that it cannot answer where the library has hit a limit, and there may be mistakes on the way, but rest assured that we will always strive to provide you with the best answer possible.

When someone’s words suggest they may be thinking about suicide or self-harm, the chat is built to notice, pause, and point toward real, immediate help rather than carry on as if nothing was said. We have looked closely at emerging best-practice guidance for how conversational AI should detect and respond to this, and made a genuine attempt to align with it. We are honest that this work is ongoing and not yet complete, but protecting the person in front of us always comes first.

While building this site, we went searching for a photo of someone sitting at a window, reading. And we found one. Then we noticed the tabs on her book, looked closer, and realised with amazement that she was reading the Bible. The perfect image, and a library that holds heart and shows the beauty of the grace of God.

Walking in Wisdom is built on a retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) architecture. It does not answer from a model's general knowledge. Instead, every question triggers a search of the approved library, and the answer is generated only from the Scripture and approved writing retrieved at that moment, with an attribution guard verifying every excerpt before it reaches you.
Author content is never trained or fine-tuned into any model. It is read at answer-time, quoted in short excerpts that always name the author and their work, and can be withdrawn at any time. Every retrieval is logged per work, which is how contributing authors are paid for the use of theirs.
During this early phase the generation step runs on OpenAI's GPT-5.4 Mini, with the library limited to public-domain works. Once funded, the plan is to move generation and embeddings onto self-hosted, open-weight models running on private GPU infrastructure, so that licensed author content never leaves the private system.

From the moment the idea was born I kept asking, “Who am I to build such a thing?” I was sure God would find someone else to create Walking in Wisdom, since I’m not a theologian, and when it comes to reading scripture and understanding the Word of God I’m at best a curious novice. What makes it more unlikely still is that although I don’t remember a time when I didn’t believe in God, my childhood experiences of conflict, excused by zealous and ungodly righteousness, left me hating organised religion and afraid of ever being associated with it.
But as many of us come to find, the answer to our prayers often sits in the reminder that God calls us not to be afraid, because He is always with us. So in 2020 I walked back into a church. It wasn’t comfortable, but let me tell you there is nothing like the love of God and the healing of the Holy Spirit to break through the scars of the past. I’m still learning and still healing, but I’m moving forward.
What I do know a fair bit about is tech, and the danger of AI models trained on that same zealous righteousness and on popular misconceptions. So after the Holy Spirit Weekend in Perth in June 2026, where God issued a clear call to action, I set aside the excuses and built what you have in front of you. This part of my journey begins here, and I can only pray that it supports you on yours.
